BERNADETTE MANSFIELD, President

Bernadette has an Honors degree from the National Art School with a further degree in Art Education from CoFA UNSW. For many years she has been involved in art publishing and promotion. Since 1991 Bernadette has helped organise the international ceramic trianalle held in Gulgong, NSW. She currently sits on the committee for the National conference to be held in NSW '09. Bernadette teaches part-time and is a member of the Middle Head Artists Colony, where she has her studio. This year she embarks on a research thesis in Art Education. 

Bernadette was involved in founding the National Art School Theatre Society (in which she is still active) and also the NAS newspaper The Oily Rag. 

ADRIAN FARROW, Vice President

A publisher by day of a range of magazines including Australian Art Review. Particularly fond of printmaking and sculpture who happened upon the NAS Summer School a few years back and has been a NAS fanatic ever since. He is very keen to see the students of NAS succeed in the world of art in greater and greater numbers. Adrian is, as indeed are all the members of the FONAS Committee, determined that NAS and it's atelier methods of teaching, which has produced so many of Australia's leading artists for the last ninety years, remains as a keystone of NAS art edcation. Adrian would also like to see the public at large to be more aware of NAS as an historical, architectural and living cultural treasure.

KIRSTEN GARRETT, Committee Member

Kirsten Garrett is a recently retired from her role as Executive Producer and investigative journalist with ABC Radio National, and has worked as a journalist with several print media organisations. Kirsten has taken lessons in drawing and painting both privately, and also many short courses evening classes at the NAS. She brings to the committee experience from a period of 4 years as Staff Elected Director on the Board of the ABC some years ago.

TODD FULLER, Committee Member

Todd Fuller is a recent graduate of the National Art School. During his time at the NAS he was heavily involved in the school community and on concluding his degree under took  the Fonas Storrier/Anslow residency to the Cite Des Arts in Paris. Todd works as an artist, educator, curator and arts administrator and is currently the Events, Education and Online Learning Coordinator for the Biennale of Sydney. Todd Exhibits heavily and is represented by Brenda May Gallery.

AMY ELIZABETH GADSBY, Committee Member

After graduating from the National Art School in 2004 (BFA, Painting), Amy studied for a year at St Oswalds School of Painting in London before relocating to Berlin and developing large scale installation works. Artist in Residence at a number of international residency programs including San Servolo AIR, Venice; and Galerie der Kunst, Berlin. Previously in the role of Arts Administrator for FONAS, is currently studying a Bachelor of Dramatic Arts, Majoring in Design at NIDA.

AVIVA ZIEGLER, Committee Member

Aviva Ziegler is one of Australia's most experienced documentary filmmakers. Amongst her long list of credits are Logies won for “Quentin and "Facing the Demons". Other critically acclaimed films include: “What is a Jew to You”, "Plumpton High Babies", “Secrets of the Jury Room” and “Fairweather Man”. She also produces documentaries for ABC radio national and is a Councillor of the Art Gallery Society of NSW.
